From 11 to 14 March Zelena akcija/Friends of the Earth Croatia took part in a specialist study visit to Italy organised by the NGO Sunce from Split. The aim was to learn about global best practices in sustainable waste management based on the waste hierarchy – in other words, waste prevention, separated collection, recycling and composting.

The associations gathered in the coalition 'SOS Adriatic' welcome the request from the Government of the Republic of Slovenia for the implementation of cross-border consultation on Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA). The performance was part of the world-wide Day of Action against coal, organized in over 50 countries. It was held at the Solar Academy on island of Solta, a regional training center for sustainable development and advocacy, beeing developed in the former army barracks.
